Healing In The Streets

Here at our local church, we’ve launched a new ministry called "Healing In The Streets."

This outreach is meant to provide people with an opportunity to receive prayer if they, or someone they know, is sick or hurting.  It is our hope that God would use it to draw people to Himself and help them discover or be renewed in a vibrant relationship with Him.

How does it work?

    Nice one, Burt!

    Very “Vineyard”!

Graham, don’t you mean, very “Fresh Fire”?

Now there’s a cool idea. Is it always going to be in the same place, or do you plan on doing it somewhere different each week?

Mike: This plan for healing in the streets has been in the works for us for a long time…long before Lakeland. Additionally, the tone and atmosphere of the ministry should be very different as well.

Snowflake: For this first set of 10 weeks, we hope to be in the same area in order to be available for repeat visits and potentially build relationships with folks.

Can I make a suggestion, Burt?

It might not fit-in, but we used to also have a box where people could write in a prayer-request and drop it in. That meant they didn’t have to stop in public, but they could still receive prayer.

    That’s a great idea, Graham!

We are currently utilizing a small invite card to help introduce what we are doing. An eventual re-design could easily incorporate a place for a prayer request. That’s a wonderful addition!
