The Leaving

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  Philippians 2:5-11

At this time of year, we focus on the coming of Jesus to our world.  Although many others have written recently (and so well!) on various aspects of His coming, I wanted to add at least one more thought.  In order for Him to come here, He had to leave somewhere else.

Florida is heaven and Michigan is crummy earth. Yeah, I could agree with that. LOL! So you’re saying Jesus is coming to Michigan for the 2nd coming?

Merry Christmas, Burt! Eat lots of carbs and sweets because that is the true meaning of Christmas!

I know you call it “stating the obvious”…but I wonder how obvious it really is? It’s one of those things you think about somewhat, but really don’t grasp…at least, not me.

Thanks for writing this (and that was a great analogy by the way).

Have a very blessed Christmas. May you and your family feel the love of God as He sends His Son to this…well…really cold world to bring it light and peace 🙂
