Ireland Missions Donation

Standard

From October 15-24, 2009, my wife and I will be in Ireland on a missions trip.  The background, rationale, and specifics of that trip can be found HERE.

Recently, I was asked how someone might easily donate toward this trip.  As of today, we have a minimum of approximately $1,065.00 left to raise.  We are hoping to potentially travel into Northern Ireland in order to connect with a church there, which may necessitate another $200 or so in lodging costs 2 nights).  If we end up doing that, we may need to spend a night in Dublin too ($150-$175).  Also, it would be wonderful to be able to provide Operation Mobilisation Ireland (the main ministry we’ll be with while in Ireland) with a monetary gift toward their needs and endeavors.

For anyone who would like to donate funds via Paypal, there is an easy link button below.

Thank you for your kind and gracious support!

Received $180 from an unexpected source today. I’m feeling very humbled at the moment…and appreciative. Thanks so much!

Tonight with the church, we hosted a gathering we called “A Taste of Ireland.” We served Irish stew, soda bread and banoffe pie and presented a series of Irish worship songs and some traditional Irish folk songs. The event was free, but people were given an opportunity to make donations. With close to 50 people in attendance, I was quite surprised to discover that the donations totaled $805 dollars. With additional funds which were turned in during the morning service, we only have $90 remaining in expected trip expenses. With the two months to go, we most likely can raise the additional funds easily, and hopefully will be able to raise some additional funds to give as a gift to the ministry that we will be visiting.

Thanks to the many generous givers and to those who are joining us in prayer. My wife and I are humbled by everyone’s generosity and support!

I was so excited to look in today and see more things crossed off the list! I looked in earlier this week and saw nothing had changed … sent a few prayers your way … to look in now and see that! Awesome … God is amazing isn’t he!

sassiekiwi: I so appreciate the prayers. We are just about there with the finances and are very thankful for what we believe to be the provision and direction of the Lord! Our Wednesday Bible study has prayed for God’s direction and opportunity for you as well…what an adventure it is to be in the Kingdom!

Got wonderfully blessed again yesterday with a surprise gift from at least a couple different people, giving us another $270.

So…our expenses are met for the trip!!!! With two months until we leave, we are financially set. Thank you Lord!

If anyone was still inclined to give, all additional funds will be given as a gift to OM Ireland to help them as they see fit.

All I can say is “Wow!” and “Thank You Lord!”

As Hannibal used to say on the A Team (am Idating myself here) … “I love it when a plan comes together!”

Fantastic … Really looking forward to see what God does on this trip.!

    Hi PB

I am curious about Ireland. What do you feel God did in your time there … has it stirred anything up … love to hear about it.

    Regards

    Sassiekiwi
